I'm a sophomore studying Software Engineering at Iowa State University, based out of the Des Moines area. Outside of coursework I run a self-hosted homelab (media, game servers, backups, and networking), which has taught me more about Linux, Docker, and networking than any class has yet. I also spend a lot of time around live production work: audio, lighting, and video for events, where the same instinct for make sure it doesn't break during the live show carries over pretty directly to running services that have to stay up.

Self-Hosted Homelab Infrastructure

Administer a self-hosted Unraid server running multiple containerized services, with Nginx Proxy Manager as the reverse-proxy ingress for public traffic. Use Tailscale to privately expose sensitive services without putting them on the public internet, and separately manage a Raspberry Pi running Pi-hole.

Run Jellyfin for media and Pelican Panel (a Pterodactyl fork) to host Minecraft servers, granting scoped admin access to other users for their own instances.

Calorie Tracking Web App

HTML/CSS frontend for logging food intake, using CGI to invoke a C program that calculates recommended daily calorie intake from weight and activity level. Deployed in a self-hosted Apache/PHP Docker container.
